Singer/fiddler Alexa Dee is a native Austinite whose grandmother Keyko and uncle Travis were among the first musicians to play at the famous Broken Spoke dancehall. Their band was called "Travis and the Westerners." 2 previously unpublished songs written by Uncle Travis appear on this album, along with 5 brand new tunes, and 1 classic western swing favorite written by Marvin "Smokey" Montgomery of the Light Crust Doughboys. The first western swing album in several decades to feature the banjo, this new release is a swinging celebration of the human spirit that takes you on a trip straight to the heart of modern Texas.
